Franco's Italian Resturant - Norfolk

Good old Italian food! This place reminds me of a scene from the original Godfather movie! A small family restaurant with a retro vibe. If you're looking for a beautiful five star gourmet place, don't come here. Came for the first time in tonight and ordered the Angel Hair Pasta with meatballs. Plate came with a lot of pasta and two meatballs, each about the size of a tangent. Many bread and butter were served as starters and my server Tina kept my soda glass full at all times. The Cannolis were huge and delicious. The portion was big enough that I could only finish about half. I will definitely be back!

We used to live in OV and would frequent that location but we were in the area and decided to try this location. Everything is fantastic. Kids had pizza, I had the Veal oscar and my wife had the Lasagna. All were fantastic!

The food and service were very good! And while we there, there was a pianist playing some relaxing tunes on the piano! The prices were also very reasonable. We shared a delicious antipasto salad before the main course, then I had their lasagna, which was some of the best I've ever had! We will definitely be going there again! In July 2022, we were back and it was so warm in there that one of people in our group nearly passed out, so even though the food was good, this wasn't a pleasant experience.

The food was pretty good. You are given huge servings. The server said that the meatballs were in the paper. What for, I am not sure.

This place is okay for a quiet dinner when it isn't too busy. The food isn't bad, just not that flavorful. The food was served hot and looked nice, but it took a while to get to us for as little of people that were there. If you want to split a dinner between two people, they do charge extra for an extra plate. In the long run it would just be better to order separate meals. Overall, the place is quaint and a little pricey for average sized meals at dinner time.
