Kelly's Tavern - Norfolk

We ate outside on the patio. The burger was tasty, but it wasn't cooked to our preference. There were a lot of flies buzzing around, which was unpleasant. The restaurant should consider finding a way to control them. The payment app on the bill was not functioning properly. The potato salad was fantastic, especially since it was mustard-based. Kelly should address the fly issue soon.

My coworkers and I got the red nachos to go during lunch, and we all felt like something tasted strange. It turned out that the chili was made with chopped up burger meat in sauce with beans. I have never been to this location before, so I am not sure if this is their usual way of making it, but it is not what I am used to from the other location. It wasn't necessarily bad that it was made with chopped up burgers, just different. We ended up cutting up the big chunks of burger to make it easier to eat.

I visited this restaurant for the first time for lunch and ordered a burger and fries. Unfortunately, I had to take my order to go. When I opened my food, I found that the French fries looked like they had been reheated. The buns also appeared moldy and were hard. I had ordered an over easy egg as an add-on, but it seemed like too much effort had been put into it as the quality was comparable to a frisbee. I do not recommend this restaurant, 10/10.

I've eaten at Kelly's many times in the past. I decided to order and drive from Portsmouth to the Norfolk/ Colley Avenue location on Monday night.I was so disappointed! Both orders were cooked in old oil and it taste and looked as such.I called the establishment to inform of my disappointment, the staff apologized, offered nothing further.
