My Mama's Kitchen - Norfolk

This was an unexpectedly amazing dining experience. We ordered the crabbypatty and wings, and wow, the flavors were incredible, plus the portions were generous. During my visit, I tried several restaurants, and this one ranked among my top two favorites. It's definitely a must-try!

If you're in search of a locally owned restaurant serving high-quality food, you should definitely check this place out! You place your order at the counter, and there is seating available. I tried "The Drip," and it definitely had some spice to it! The mac and cheese was delicious; I think they added garlic for extra flavor. The prices might seem a bit steep if you're not from the area, but it's worth noting that everything tends to be pricey in Virginia Beach, and this place offers top-notch food. The staff was very friendly, and you could see the cooks putting in a lot of effort. If you’re in a rush, I recommend ordering ahead!

I discovered this restaurant through a TikTok review and felt compelled to check it out. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. I ordered the salmon Philly with rice and peas, along with the Drip wings, and everything was absolutely delicious. The rice and peas were packed with flavor, and the salmon in the Philly was exquisite—tender and perfectly complemented by the spices and cheese. The Drip wings were fantastic; they were so good I couldn't help but lick my fingers! They struck the perfect balance between sweetness and spice. I will definitely be coming back!

Finally got a chance to try this place, and I gotta say I am hooked! I got The Drip which was huge and definitely the best chicken sandwich Ive had around here. The collard greens and crispy seasoned fries were also delicious and came in big portions. The staff was also very friendly and the service was excellent. I'll be back as soon as possible!

First time here, and will definitely go back! Pulled pork sandwich was amazing, the fries are good. I loved the salted caramel banana pudding! However, the Mac and cheese was a bit off. I'm not sure if it went bad or what but i couldn't eat it at all. It smelled perfectly fine, just had a really sour/bad taste. Other than that everything was great and I will be returning soon!
