Shula's 347 - Norfolk

I'm from Connecticut and was in town to visit family and we came to Shula's 347 Grill the day we were ready to go. This place was excellent in all areas. The waiting staff was great, the food was excellent and prepared exactly as we liked it. The decor was excellent and beautiful. If we're back in town, we'll definitely be back for lunch or dinner.

Got the Shula's New York Strip and was very disappointed. Ordered it medium rare. It came that way, but the steak was grainy and tasted like hamburger. Very dry, and disappointing. Not worth the money. Service was good at the bar. Best thing was the roasted corn side. Companion's mashed potatoes tasted like they were out of the bag. Got a Lagavulin 16 year neat and it was $39!!! Bar tender said it should have been $49 for the pour he gave me! A bottle is just over $100. That's price gouging. I'll never eat at another Shula's again. Terrible place.

This is my favorite place to eat in Norfolk. It is also a convenient location! They have the best salad from anywhere I have eaten here and their mushroom Swiss burgers is so delicious! Always great service and great food! Thank you.

Went there because I had gift certificate. I was a little bit worried because of some bad reviews but I was well surprised. Staff is nice, food is good, service is fast. The restaurant is well decorated but has nothing special and no particular atmosphere. It's also a little expensive so an effort has to be made on that. (PS: the crab cake is awesome)

Went twice during my stay at the hotel. Wait staff was ok. Buns on our burgers were stale. Went to the bar, terribly slow and totally flustered bar tender who wasn't familiar with the bar layout. Had to pack up and leave after waiting 20 minutes for a second drink. The bar wasn't even full. Manager: get it together. If your gonna charge $13 for a vodka sunrise you'd better have $13 service. Bottom line, go elsewhere.
