Cocina Don Miguel - Norman

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Norman. I love their fajitas so much that I often order a large batch for takeout and enjoy them for two days in a row. The owner has always been incredibly friendly and often helps carry my food to the car when I order more than I can handle. The service is relaxed—it's the kind of place where you might need to ask for more water, but they are always happy to accommodate and have been really kind. I noticed that this place doesn’t have a higher rating, which made me want to share my positive experience. It seems like people either love or hate this restaurant, and I definitely love it.

I highly recommend trying the Chicken Mole when it’s available as a special, but their Enchiladas and Guisos are also delicious any day. Their spicy salsas are fantastic, and they're more than willing to customize your order—especially if you're looking for a shrimp guiso or another spicy option. The owners are wonderful people running a great business, and I encourage you to check out one of the best Mexican restaurants in Norman. In fact, besides this restaurant and Pepe Delgado's, they are the only truly authentic sit-down dining options in Norman. Tarahumaras still includes Tex-Mex on their menu, so I don’t consider them in the same category. I live in South OKC, and I can confidently say that this place rivals many authentic spots there.

The best Mexican restaurant in Norman! As someone from Mexico, I know how challenging it can be to find authentic Mexican cuisine in the U.S., but this place truly delivers. The food is fresh and made from scratch, with vegetarian options available. I ordered my dish with potatoes, and it was fantastic! The menu is extensive, but don't hesitate to ask about the daily specials.

I went in Friday night about 10 minutes before close to pick up shrimp cocktail for my boyfriend. All the girls were beyond friendly! It's definitely a family atmosphere. I had a michelada while I waited and my food was ready quickly. I can't wait to go back in for a sit down meal. The food was great. I loved my tamales!

By far the best mexican restaurant In oklahoma service is great and food is amazing fresh and tasty you can dine in or take it on the go looks small from the outside but it's bigger than what I expected give it a try
