Almaz Cafe - Norristown

The food was amazing! The owner is a chef, and quite personable. The Tilapia was sautéed, moist and juicy, seasoned to perfection and served on a bed of rice with broccoli. The Mussels were highly recommended, by a friend, and were tender and delicious as well. Also had fried colossal shrimp, also delicious. Reasonably priced, Happy Hour Specials Monday thru Friday 5 7, downtown Norristown, just up from the courthouse. Pleasant crowd at the bar. My first time there, and it has already replaced some of my favorite eateries: I will be a regular :

Great Ethiopian food and a big cosy bar if that's your thing right on Main st Pennsylvania

Before discovering Almaz Cafe, I had to travel into the city for Ethiopian food, but that's no longer necessary! Everything I've tried here has been absolutely delicious, and the owners are incredibly friendly. While there are some non-Ethiopian options available, I highly recommend sticking to the Ethiopian dishes. The restaurant's location isn’t the most appealing, and the music can be quite loud (though I believe they would be happy to adjust it if asked politely). Overall, I will definitely be returning.
