I have been a patron of this café since it opened, and I believe they serve the best chicken and avocado sandwich in Adelaide. Every bite I take during lunch is a delight. Even though it is not widely known as a dining destination, the food is always fresh. The chicken and avocado spread is homemade and delicious.
We originally planned to go to the Japanese hibachi restaurant on Melbourne St, but it was closed. We ended up at Cafe 99 instead. At first glance, the decor was lackluster and our table had not been cleared. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the Seafood Laska. The dish included prawns, calamari, tofu, as well as unexpected additions like carrots, corn, broccoli, and noodles. We requested a mild spice level, which was perfect. The portion size was just right and the price was reasonable for the delicious meal. Despite arriving for a late lunch, we were not expecting our meal to be cooked in front of us. If they continue to provide this level of service and quality, Cafe 99 is definitely worth a visit.
I have been to this restaurant several times and the staff is very friendly. The food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. I will definitely visit again.
This small place makes you feel that you are in Vietnam the Bun bo hue and Pho are really very good and they have an excellent range of very fresh salads. The chef is very friendly and sometimes comes out to chat.
