While it was pretty good, it was somewhat ordinary compared to our expectations. The main reason I won't be returning soon is because the restaurant was extremely loud. My partner and I were seated at a small table, less than a meter apart, and we couldn't hear each other speak. The restaurant seemed to attract a younger crowd in their late 20s to mid-30s, mainly male, who were loud and boisterous. Their behavior was not appropriate for a dining environment, and it made our dinner experience less enjoyable. We were rushed through our meal in less than 50 minutes, and we couldn't have a proper conversation. It's a shame because the service was lacking as well, with staff appearing overwhelmed and frantic. Marrakech, if you want to attract customers, you'll need to ensure that the atmosphere is comfortable for all diners and have enough staff to handle the workload.
Based on a TripAdvisor recommendation, I took an Uber to this restaurant which is not located in the central business district. I made a reservation in advance due to its popularity. The food was delicious, ranging from good to excellent. However, there were a few issues that detracted from the experience. Firstly, the restaurant was very noisy with too many tables crammed in and unnecessary music playing. Additionally, a loud group of five young people added to the noise level. Secondly, the service was poor as dishes were brought out at different times and we had to wait an unusually long time between courses. We even had to clean our plates for the second main course, which was noticeably different in quality from the first. Lastly, the tablecloths were stained and should be replaced. Despite these drawbacks, I would consider returning to this restaurant, although I did not expect to pay $96 for two people without wine or dessert.
We enjoyed a tasty meal with our extended family at this restaurant. The owner/manager made us feel very welcome and provided us with food recommendations, traditional tea, and ice cream for the children.
We had dinner at this restaurant what a fabulous experience. All the dishes were full of flavour, and the service was always with a smile.
This was our first ever visit to this restaurant. It was for a special occasion, a wedding anniversary. We hoped for a tasty menu, it did not disappoint. The soup was filled with flavour and a meal in itself. The chick and lamb dishes were...superb, with heat and colourful presentation. We also had some flavoursome dips with flat bread to begin. The waiter suggested we ease back on them as the meal to come was plentiful. It was filling, and thrilling. We noticed that nearly every customer left with a doggy bag since they could not eat all they had ordered. We needed to do that too. It was something we never do, really. The red wine was a beauty, (local and overseas available). We ended with a yummy cup of tea, skilfully poured from on high. The only criticism was our table position it was in the middle of the room. But yeah, it was OK. Go along, enjoy.
