Portage - North Bay

Have gone there in the past, the food is always good, the staff very friendly, beer is cold. They have lots of room for trucks/trailers, gas on site and the A-D trail runs through their property. Overall an excellent spot.

What a great Friendly and fun place to go on Friday, some of the best ribs in North Bay, and cold beer. When they have the pickerel special on a Saturday special, the pickerel portion is twice the size of anywhere else in town !!!

The Brandied Wild Mushroom soup was amazing! I will go back to have that soup again and to try the other soups on the menu. The chicken wings were pretty ordinary. The sauces that came with the wings were OK (the best was the Thai sauce.) Sadly, the rum cake was dry and lacking any significant rum flavour. Yet I will go back for the soups.

So, going back this evening for the best fish and chips. This place is part of North Bay heritage, summer or winter - comfy for whole family also. If one can shoot scenes for movies/series (Cardinal Series per author Giles Blunt) there, you know it represents the culture in the North Bay region.

Great food ! New chefs always keeping the menu exciting and delicious! Burgers pizza wings fries !!!
