California Pizza Kitchen At Barton Creek

It was a very pleasant experience their pizza was warm and a little crispy for my taste but overall would come back for another date

The food was not as great as what we've eaten at other CPKs( other states). But our server Angel was truly an angel. One of the entrée was too spicy for me to handle. It triggered my acid reflux. Angel was quick to help, got me cold water and some ice-cream immediately. God bless him for doing his job so well.

I can’t rate the food because they didn’t serve it nor the two drinks we ordered. We walked out and went to the Nordstrom bistro where we had impeccable service and A/C! Don’t waste your time and money here, you will be waiting for bread for 28 min while the tables next to you ordered, received food and drinks twice and your waiter will forget about you. We ordered a glass of wine, a mojito and dumplings and he said he will bring us bread..got nothing and walked out after 28 minutes after sitting in a restaurant where their is no a/c!

So I'm not a fan of this place but my wife is, so not impressed with anything I've ever had but my wife had a favorite dish but luckily they got rid of it so won't worry about having to go. This is only a reflection of the one near us so other ones might be good.

I noticed when we sat down how rude the bartender seemed- she was barking orders to her coworkers and barely acknowledging her guests. The bar was fairly busy but nothing crazy. The bar top was not clean. A seemingly kinder bartender (possibly a bar-back) tried to take our order and was interrupted by the rude bartender who stepped in and took our order instead. She carded us, understandable because we are under 40. My bf is 25 and I’m 28- in town visiting from Kansas to celebrate our anniversary. In Kansas, we get paper IDs when getting new IDs while we wait for the hard copy to come in the mail. We came in to have dinner and a drink on our anniversary after going to build a bear across the way in the mall to make long distance bears for each other. Long story short, my government official photo ID was denied because it is a paper temporary ID. I also provided my expired copy as proof that my ID was expired, and I had my Kansas temporary photo ID. I work in bars and have a license to serve alcohol in Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, and Nevada and have never seen something like this. Thanks for spoiling date night CPK at Barton Spings Mall!
