Boxcar Betty's - North Charleston

We used to come here and the quality has really gone down. $10 for a mediocre chicken sandwich and then having to pay an additional $5 for a drink and side is really disappointing considering this used to be a nice lunch spot. If the prices are going to raise the least that could be done is keep the quality the same, but the sandwiches and fried pickles were greasy, barely had any lettuce on them, and just not tasty. I wouldn't recommend the not-so-waffle sandwich to anyone, the jam was too sweet and none of the flavors made sense together. Really disappointed overall, but the restaurant was at least clean and pleasant inside.

Unprofessional management threatening to fire employees on the spot in front of customers (me. Not sure of her name but some short lady with short brown hair and tattoos. Just made everything feel uncomfortable. Felt so bad for the cashier. Food was good but won’t be back.Food: 3/5

Sandwich and tenders are good. The tenders were better. Food was hot and fresh. Fries are hand cut and great. If you like sweet potato fries they have them. No pics, I ate too fast.

This was quite possibly the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. It was exactly what it was supposed to be. A quick bite to eat that is also delicious. Every bite was savory with perfect texture and right amount of crispiness. It's right by where I live so I figured I'd give it a try. Extremely fast. It probably technically classifies as fast food, but with an actually pleasant dining area that's aesthetically pleasing and clean, and food that doesn't make you regret eating it. The place is pretty big for what it is. I was expecting a lot smaller of a place, but it's very spacious. Surprisingly, it was almost completely empty of customers despite the quality of the food.

A great chicken sandwich! Service was good. The price can be a bit lower. However, it's still good.
