Gennaro's Italian - North Charleston

My husband and I waited 50 minutes without our meal being served yet. Their special appetizer of oysters were $10.95 for only 6 fried oysters and even that took forever to be served. They need help in their kitchen because that is too long to wait for a meal....will not go back there again!!!

Neat old Italian restaurant. Great food. Atmosphere was dated, but that didn't affect the food or service. Big place with lots of tables.

Lisa was our server. The food was exceptionally good. The service was excellent. My husband ordered the Chicken Parm dish and it was enough for 2 people. I had the Chicken Bolognese which was also enough for 2 people. It was delicious! Both dishes came with a small salad and a side of pasta. I had creamy Italian dressing on my salad and it was the best I have ever had. The icing on the cake for me was that the owner went to every table and spoke to the customers. Great food and service!

I expected much more from my dinner than I actually got, though it was still pretty good.

10/10 !I've always heard of Genarro's and I visited for the first time last night! I've listened to a thousand stories of my mom and dad dinning here in their younger years If you've never experienced the fine dinning at Genarro's Italian Restorante you are missing out!!
