The Castle Inn - North Devon

I want to thank Dave and his team for once again making us feel so welcome at the restaurant. Special thanks to Lynne, who did a fantastic job of keeping our glasses full. The locals also contributed to making us feel like one of them. And let's not forget to mention the excellent beer. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Wow what can I say. After me and my partner deciding to have a holiday in combe martin and we was very lucky and I mean very lucky to find this little gem. First night my partner and I was massively welcomed and was made to feel like we was locals. The girls on the bar were spot on and cudnt fault them at all. The drinks were well kept and tasted delicious and price was spot on also. To top it off the landlord gave us a lift back to the campsite which have never had befor. For anyone that's comes to this village please go to this pub. We will defo be back again, hopefully for longer. Thanks again to everyone at the castle.. nicki

We visited here as a family (4 adults) with our dog as part of our Combe Martin pub crawl! A really warm welcome from the staff, cosy setting, great beer on tap and sport on tv. Great lively family atmosphere, we’d definitely return. Thank you team.

Was really busy as Octoberfest was on so went to the room at the back. Tense atmosphere constantly being stared at by a group playing pool. People openly vaping inside and underage drinking. The landlord/barman was certainly aware. Chris with his mate Luke sat at our table and try to intimidate. One guy followed me to the gents. People were either very drunk or very high. We left as even though we tried to ‘play along’ and ignore them it was close to kicking off. Not sure if it was because we weren’t local, 2 blokes together or just invading their space. In other words stay away unless you want to be stared at, pestered and driven out by the locals.

I had a nice lunch and an excellent pint at this restaurant. I visited twice while on vacation. The food is reasonably priced compared to other options in the area. I had a good experience with social distancing and the hygiene practices were excellent.
