We adore this cafe , fabulous atmosphere , lovely food , great tea coffee, The cafe is decorated in a funky interesting way , comfy sofas , lots to look at .
The restaurant has a unique decor and offers delicious food. We enjoyed the pork stew, topped with crispy crackling, which was absolutely delightful. While the tables may be a bit close together, the tasty food more than makes up for it.
Very odd looking place. First of all put off by very miserable looking female staff. But as we had a small dog with us we decided as they were happy and had space we would stay. Glad we did. Very nice young man served us eventually. Confusing menu and specials board but he knew all the answers to loads of questions. Which was good as we had a vegetarian and a coeliac in our group. The food was great, we all enjoyed our choices. Soupand gluten free bread, mushrooms on toast with a poached egg, and fish finger sandwiches which were huge and very popular. One tip, if you are going to use heritage China, sterlizeto remove-old tea stains in cups. It looks dirty otherwise. Devote very unusual. Some chairs need more attention mine was Brocken at the back and too rickety to be safe. People todayare bigger then when 1950s chairs were made and they need to be strong enough. I’m under ten stone and I felt unstable my male friend could not have sat on it and he is not overweight At All!
As a birthday present I had received a voucher for a cream tea with a friend of mine. It was delicious and we will certainly go back there a nice environment and very nice food and drinks.
