The Talbot Pub - North Dorset

Good old fashion traditional village pub. very friendly staff. that was better than I expected. well presented and delicious.

Very happy with the room. good size and comfortable. some noises from the customers in the night, but easily fixed by closing the window. also it was quiet outside while sleeping. I was sleeping well. the owner has tried to give us a decent vegan breakfast, although bookings are not informed about our nutritional needs.

The talbot is a traditional pub and inn in iwerne minster. I was there for 2 nights in May 2019. it was a last minute booking and I had luck that they had a room available. I booked on the phone and they were very helpful and informative. when I later in the night around approx. 8 o'clock imitation, I found them as friendly and helpful, so full sign for the service. the room itself was good. not super fancy, just a clean ground room. just a few negatives. first, the shower was ok, but would benefit from a decalcification to bring it back to its above-average potential, as some of the spray holes are partially blocked. second, the matratze was a little hard. I prefer a solid matrate, so don't consider in my part, but take note of something. the pub itself was cozy and had a good clientele. but not gross. I would stay there definitiw.

Really good local pub staff are great and the live music they had, there is fantastic hope that they will soon go back iw see this young man very talented and knows how to entertain
