Babette's Cafe - North Druid Hills

We had a delicious and romantic meal in Babettes.ruly a neighborhood motto with fantastic service and wonderful ambiente. we will visit again soon. the chocolate bread pudding with bananeneis was amazing!

We went there for our anniversary last week. We loved everything about it. It looked like an old house converted to a restaurant. Our server, Janet( was great. We tried Roasted cauliflower, a couple of soups, Veal Piccata and Salmon 60. They were all great. We’ll definitely be back.

Absolutely Horrible!!! I was looking forward to taking my girlfriend to celebrate her 37th birthday at Babette’s. Made reservations for Sunday January 23rd. Upon arriving we was greeted by the hostess who informed us that our table wasn’t ready as we had arrive a little early. She asked if we’d rather sit on the patio so we agreed. Sat down a male server came to the table never spoke to us or said his name. Poured us water reached across my face to do so which you should never do especially without saying excuse me. Told us to let him know what we wanted to drink. Definitely didn’t make us feel welcome. We got cold and asked to be moved inside. We were greeted by Denzel who seemed to be friendly at first. It was our first time here wouldn’t have minded getting a run down of the menu. We ended up ordering some apps which were really good. Only problem is our server Denzel never came back to the table EVER! We watched him continuously walk past our table to cater to his other two tables but yet never coming back by us. It was almost like we were invisible. He continued to walk over and over past our table never coming back to check on us clear our dishes/ crumb the table ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I finally had to wave him down to say we wanted to order entrees and that we had wanted to put the order in before we finished our apps. I work in the industry and have been for 25 years never should a guest completely finish apps before the entree order is taken. By that time we had become so disappointed just sitting there waiting at an empty table for the entree order to come, continuously watching him still ignore us and talk/cater to his other tables. My girlfriend was heartbroken it was her birthday. We should have never been invisible to him just by how we look. Owners and mangers say they don’t discriminate maybe you all don’t but Denzel did. So disappointed that we ending just paying for the apps and leaving on her birthday. He should have never took the table if he didn’t want us. He never saw us again after we sat down. He judged us wrong. Simple small talk could have made the situation so much better but he didn’t care to do that. Spoke to Alan the manger he apologized but seemed rehearsed still he didn’t make much of an effort to get us to come back. This place is sad I would never treat my guest the way Denzel treated us no matter what they look like. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody based on service!! Worst ever made us feel like nothing!!

It is babette so what await them - impeccable eating, impeccable waiting staff, friendly vessels. a little crowded so service was slow, but clientele that babettes attraction was fun to watch from buckhead fantasies to real housewives from atlanta. great spot.

We just visited this place. On our way there we called because we experienced some traffic so I called to let them know. Our reservation was at 5:00 PM, we arrived at 5:16 PM. The girl that answered the phone told us that our table needed to be vacant by 7:15 PM. This certainly did not make us feel welcome even before we arrived. The food was just ok, the decor was just ok, the music was horrible like some cheap radio was playing…Our waiter was nice but after being told that we needed to vacate our table by 7:15 PM we decided to leave much earlier than that. We chose to go have dessert where we didn’t feel we were being RUSHED out!! Instead, we left Babette by 6:15 PM, we definitely were NOT impressed with how the experience. Please hire a hostess that knows how to be tactful, show fínese, and class in the way she addresses those that are willing to support your business, please!
