The White Bear - North East Derbyshire

This restaurant is a charming and laid-back spot. The staff is very friendly and the pub is kept very clean. The meals were delicious and had incredible flavors. We have had many meals in the past, but this one definitely ranked as the best. We will definitely be returning. The prices were fair as well, around $30-$35 each for a three-course meal, which is a reasonable price. The hosts were also lovely.

On Saturday, August 19th, my partner and I had an exceptional dining experience at the White Bear. The food was superb, the service was excellent, and we had a lovely evening overall. For starters, we enjoyed the Brie in Parma ham and the Black pudding scotch egg. For our main courses, we had the Belly pork and the Fillet steak. We finished off our meal with the delicious creme brûlée and chocolate hazelnut parfait. Every dish was absolutely delicious, and we were extremely pleased with our choices. The wine we had with our meal was also of high quality. We highly recommend the White Bear and will definitely be returning in the future. A big thank you to everyone at the White Bear for a wonderful dining experience!

Ambience excellent matched by the food, homemade bread especially good, Pork Belly to die for and Crème Brulle gorgeous .Will definitely visit again.

I have been coming to the White Bear with my husband every year for 14 years, we have tried many other places over the year also, as I absolutely love food. We have been to Gordon Ramseys Savoy Grill in London, Marco Pierre in Nottingham to name a few, whilst both of these served lovely food it is not a patch on The White Bear. Their food is the standard to beat whenever I go to any other restaurant and I am yet to find anywhere that comes close to the succulent and mouth watering food that they serve as well as the lovely calm atmosphere within the place. The owner is so lovely too and warm and friendly. I will continue to keep going to The White Bear as I am never disappointed and look forward to the food I am about to be served by them.

I made arrangements to meet someone at the White Bear but when I arrived it was closed so I parked at the top of the drive to wait for them to make other arrangements.After a while the owner came out shouting abuse at me and swearing.Not giving me chance to explain I told him that was no way to talk to anyone to which he replied with a load of foul language .I asked who did he think he was talking to to which he told me to move again using more foul language .I can honestly say I have never met a more obnoxious person in my life
