Canton Chop Suey House

I cannot grasp the negative reviews of this restaurant. I've been searching for a good Chinese takeaway in Grimsby/Clee for over two years, and this one is definitely the best. Every time I've ordered, the food has been delicious and piping hot. The only downside is that they don't have a website for online orders; you have to call in to place your order, which may be a turn-off for some people who prefer ordering through their phones for convenience. However, it is definitely worth making the call for the tasty food.

I tried this takeout restaurant for the first time and it was a huge mistake. I ended up throwing away everything except for half of the chips. The chicken, if it was even chicken, looked and tasted disgusting. I wouldn't even give it to a pig, not that I have one. I'm dreading what tomorrow's meal will be like, but at least there is no shortage of toilet paper at the moment. I would recommend avoiding this place.

Thought we'd try the Canton as our regular Chinese takeaway is closed and we'd heard good things about the Canton. Crispy chicken was soggy, curry sauce as thick as tar and fried rice that was almost black. Without doubt the worst Chinese food ever. Avoid it like covid. Best thing was we ordered it to be delivered and arrived at the exact minute requested.

I was very disappointed with my recent experience at this restaurant. The food lacked taste and flavor, making it the worst Chinese meal I have ever had from here. I used to play at the back of the shops as a kid and grew up eating from this Chinese restaurant. I have had many enjoyable meals here over the years, but it seems like there may be new owners now and the quality has significantly declined. I will not be returning unless things improve and will look for a new place to eat. I'm sorry to say that the food was bland and tasteless.

Bought a shrimp curry and boiled rice which consisted of a few prawns and a few onions floating in some yellow watery liquid. The boiled rice was okay. I can't imagine how they get any good reviews selling rubbish like this.
