For a work outing, we planned and booked "Dirty Dancing" at Laceby Manor. Initially, everything looked beautiful - the tables, the room, the entrance - all beautiful. However, the food arrived 30 minutes late, the music was too loud while we were trying to talk and wait for our food. When we approached the staff at the bar to ask about the delay, she just shrugged her shoulders and walked away. The meal and entertainment were overpriced. It was embarrassing for the resort. Overall, it was a disappointment and we will not be booking again.
From the moment we walked into the brasserie at Laceby Manor golf club, I knew it was special. Amber biggest smile greeted us and escorted us to the table. I asked if we could have any bread, it was not on the menu, but Amber and the chef presented us with stacks of warm bread and butter. Amber was perfect, nothing was too trouble and then came Melissa who was nothing less than perfect. Both were chatty, professional and made us feel special. The food was perfect, 10 out of 10. Mouth watering and by far the best food I have ever had on any resort. Back to Melissa and Amber. They are fabulous ambassadors to Laceby Manor gold club resort and the reason why the restaurant is filled with smiling faces. We could not have asked for more and I cannot express just what an amazing time we had. I hope the people at the top of the tree see this and shake it, because with Melissa and Amber and fabulous food, you are guaranteed an amazing time. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening xx Peter, Becky, Bon and Jenny.
Decided to try the laceby manor restaurant and bar with our friends last night and were pleasantly surprised and impressed with this establishment. We had booked a table to eat but decided to have a couple of drinks outside on the terrace first as it was a lovely evening and the views of the golf course were pleasing on the eye. Aimee, who looked after us very well while we were there, brought out some menus to view while we had our drinks. The choice of meals on offer made it difficult to choose as all the fare sounded delicious but Aimee was on hand to make suggestions which helped us with our selections. Without going into detail, all the food that was presented to us was delicious and thoroughly enjoyed by us all. One of the best meals we had had in a long time and service to match. We shall all be returning soon.
Attended a family wedding here recently. The restaurant, the location and the facilities were top notch, I think you would have to work hard to improve on what they have achieved here. However, the bar staff in the first floor function suite leave much to be desired ! Their attitude and reaction to the wedding guests during the wedding reception and evening event should definatly be improved ! It began with the sullen faces of the waiting staff during the reception , most should learn how to smile only one lady waitress blonde hair new starter was polite and smiled give her a job in staff training We asked for a bread roll during lunch, to be told, only for guests who have ordered soup ! Eventually after asking again they brought two over for the brides father... The evening event was a challenge when we struggled to understand why the part bottles of wine had disappeared from the table, when most of the guests were drinking spirits and beer etc. The penny , or should I say the C £17,000 dropped when the waitresses were removing full glasses of drinks from the table without checking! When challenged , the nonchalant response was to place the drinks back on the table and march off like petulant teenager! Our dismay was amplified the following day during a conversation with the restaurant manager told us , that 's what we do, If you need to keep your opened bottles of wine on the table you need to let us know , otherwise they will be removed! oh, so the wine is cleared along with the newly poured drinks too then? I don 't think we, or anyone else we know have ever been to a restaurant and even thought to tell the waiting staff not to take the half bottles of wine away before they have been emptied ? This usual practice was not discussed when we booked ! A cynic could suspect they re sell the newly recovered wine by the glass. This said, the manager did compensate with two bottles of the brides choice , so thanks for recognising the issue. But please consider NOT removing part bottles etc without checking in the first place.
