Costa - North Hertfordshire

I have never been to such a slow Costa. It took them 15 minutes to serve 2 people in the queue. No urgency and not even good customer service excusing the slow service.

The staff were friendly and efficient ordered 2 cake 1 tea and decaf cappucino cakes ok but apparently the tea had a funny taste and it seems like all costas I have been to is very week just a little flavour over plain milk. Would I go again don't think so it's about 5 yrs since the last one I visited. I think it will another 5yrs before I visit another

Never been to this costa before, quick service with friendly staff. Loads of seating. All the tables seemed clean, lots of spare seating, opted for a very comfy sofa by the window. Great coffees and some lovely cake made for a great visit.

I used to visit this Costa with friends every single week on a Saturday. Staff were friendly,same staff every week so you got to know them. Now its practically different staff every time. Today we were told we cannot have salted caramel frostino or latte due to the high sugar content. Run out of strawberry or mint syrups so couldn't have those either. We were also served in takeaway cups as they never seem to have enough cups probably because staff are in short supply. Tables invariably not cleared away. Lucky if you get a spoon to stir your drink. Come on Costa, what is going on. I think Starbucks is calling my name, at least they dont rum out of drinks and its clean and you get proper cups. Very sad that it's gone like it has. Not the staffs fault, it comes from above.

The queues are always extremely long which is not a problem if the shelves are fully stocked . We arrived at the beginning of lunchtime and selected the only main option they had for their meal deals , only to get to the till and be told that my cheese and Wiltshire ham toastie was not part of the deal it had to be cheese and ham toastie. Why have the signs up for a meal deal if you have not got the components to make up the deal. Even without the deal the chilled section was nearly empty. Terrible service, with the attitude of tough we have what you see ,never again.
