Costa Coffee - North Hertfordshire

Coffee is a standard product with some variations across Costa franchises so the environment and service make all the difference. The staff in this branch are very friendly, welcoming and efficient even under pressure. The premises itself is also very bright, clean and comfortable.

It's always a pleasure to have a coffee here. The staff are friendly and the place is usually quite busy. If you want some time to yourself, you may want to go in the morning, because it can soon fill up with families as the day progresses. All in all, definitely a place to enjoy your favourite beverage they also do a range of hot snacks, so what are you waiting for...?

The food and service at this restaurant are consistently good. However, the temperature inside is kept extremely cold, which can be uncomfortable for customers. Despite it being around 2 degrees Celsius outside, the A/C unit is blasting cold air. Some may even joke that the restaurant should be called the Arctic Zone instead of Costa! When asked to adjust the cooling, the staff explained that the espresso machine and grill generate a lot of heat inside the bar, so the cooling is necessary for their comfort.

I called into Royston on my way elsewhere and decided to try the local Costa. The staff were very friendly and the service and coffee were high standard. This is a very nice Costa branch in an interesting building with a small outside seating area behind some railings. Good toilet, though cramped.

We have always had a preconceived idea about Costa. Over priced,a young peoples place, not great coffee or food etc. but we tried the one in Royston as our usual haunt was going down hill and we were at a loss as to where to try. We were very pleasantly surprised in this one! And we have been quite regularly ever since. We find the staff very obliging and friendly. Of course, there is no age bracket associated with Costa all in our head) and, as coffees and cake and snacks go, they are quite competitive. It is nice coffee and we enjoy a 'tuna melt ' and some sort of cake. We have never found it dirty. All in all, we have been very happy going there so far.
