The Ming Wah - North Hertfordshire

Over the past 18 months (since Covid Lockdown 1) we have have used Ming Wah for delivery service on numerous occasions. We had been using it pre-Covid. Everytime we call to place an order they change their mind if card payments can be accepted or not. On a couple of occasions the order delivered has been incorrect. Tonight we called to ask for delivery and were told it was collection only as this is what they have always done. We called from 3 different phone numbers and below are the different excuses we received: Call 1 : Unfortunately we don't deliver. We havent't done for many years. When questioned they ended the call Call 2: Unfortunately we don't deliver at the minute due to Covid. When questioned that they had delivered to us us throughout covid they ended the call. Call 3: When told we were self isolating they said it would be 1 hour for delivery as they don't have a driver. This could have been mentioned on call 1. We agreed to wait the hour and then changed their mind and the call was ended yet again. AVOID AT ALL COSTS Do these people want business or are they on a tax scam deciding when they need cash payments (see above regarding card payments). It was a fantastic takeaway to order from but i would avoid at all costs. Sorry, just my opinion over a three year period of things changing

This has got to be the best food by far.always cooked fresh. lovely serivce.people very friendly.wont go any were else.

New Year’s Eve (should have known) ordered online, turned up at arranged time to find a substantial queue outside waiting to collect. Waited 1hour 10 minutes to be told when asked that it would be another 20 minutes (I had asked after 45 minutes wait and was told it would be another 25 minutes so not happy it would be another 20 in addition). At this point I was freezing cold and not prepared to wait any longer so got a refund. Absolute shambles and what really annoyed me is they kept taking orders from people walking in. Also allowed a customer in without a mask and he was coughing over someones food waiting to be collected. In retrospect I’m pleased I got a refund.

Vile! Always used to go to Ming Wah, but since it changed hands it’s been awful. Was convinced to give another go last night.... put all in the bin, the chicken chow mien was swimming in grease and the chicken..., if that’s what you call it was soggy. Revolting! Will not be returning

Food disgusting, vegetables not cooked, sweet and sour cantanoise disgusting chicken not cooked. This takeaway has gone down drain since the original people left there, please come back letchworth people miss you, your food was excellent and there was never any complaints
