Sons of Baja - NORTH HOBART

Despite several negative reviews we decided to give the place a go anyway and OH SO glad we did.!All dishes were beautifully presented and taste sensationThe lamb neck was divine and fell off the fork (and my fingers)The steak was cooked just perfect at rare/medium but both dishes was a bit chewy. I think that's more the meat supplier / cut than the chef though as everything else was fantastic. And some cuts depending on the animal itself can just be that way unfortunately. Wouldn't order it again but will definitely add this place to our regular list

The food was disappointing. I love a bit of spice but even their hot Mexican dishes were tasteless. Hardly anyone there but service still very slow.

We went here on a Saturday night ad the place wasn't even half full. The service was very slow, and the staff generally looked a little confused as to who was meant to be doing what. The food was OK, but very slow, and everyone's meals came out at different times. The serving sizes were really big (I had the lamb neck and it was literally a whole lambs neck on the plate). The menu was quite inventive, but did not quite hit the mark for me (cold sorbet in a hot churro basket?).

Had a family celebration at Sons of Baja. The food was delicious, the service was fast and the staff were friendly and informative. We had a great night out with great food and lots of fun. Totally recommend this venue for a great time out.

We had our work Christmas dinner here. The venue and atmosphere is great especially for larger groups. The set menu was also top notch. The food is tasty really hits the spot. Drinks variety is also very good
