The Canned Tomato - North Huntingdon

The Canned Tomato has a very nice atmosphere and ambience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly hostess. Once seated, our waitress brought us water very quickly and was helpful and very friendly throughout our meal. We ordered the Chicken Parmesan Sampler and the Bruschetta pizza for our entree. The pizza was exceptionally good, and the crust was very flavorful and cooked perfectly. The sampler was also good, however, I would consider their sauce to be more on the acidic side. I personally didn't care for the sauce, but the lasagna, spaghetti and chicken parmesan was cooked well. For dessert, we had the cannolis and a s'mores dessert. The s'mores dessert was OK, but the cannolis were very good. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner, the atmosphere and the staff.

Really good, solid food. Aside from them being out of a bunch of items and our waitress not being as aware of off menu items being offered to other tables, the experience was good. Food was done quickly, flavorful and in good sized portions for the price. Atmosphere is calm and relaxed. The pepperoni rolls are probably the best I've had anywhere, so kudos to the cooks on that one. Also, the chocolate bomb for dessert makes it all worth it.

AMAZING! Hubby had the idea to try somewhere new today. Let me say, I don't know why we haven't come here sooner! My husband, my stepmum, and I all had amazing meals and starters. If they are offering the caprese salad, DON'T TURN IT DOWN! Portions are great! Service was out of this world, and the owner even came out to say hello. What an awesome family owned restaurant ? We will definitely be back!

I was excited to try this place based off all of the good reviews and spaghetti being my absolute favorite dish, but the flavor of the sauce was very disappointing. It basically tasted like tomato paste out of the can. The salad was delicious though. My friend who was with me agreed. She didn't even take a 2nd bite of her spaghetti. They did take $8 off her bill due to her not eating hers. I took mine home and doctored it up a little before eating it. I guess if you like a tomato straight from the can tasting sauce then you might enjoy???????. Sorry to say it was a no for me.

This family owned business is a pure gem. We spend lots of our special occasions in the dinning room. The staff and ownership are always polite and hardworking. Their delivery services are always timely and the food is just as good as eating in. Our family very much enjoys the Sicilian (square cut) pizza and pepperoni rolls. Our oldest daughter is a picky eater but she loves the meatballs. Typically she will only eat homemade meatballs that my 100% Italian relatives make. This spot is for the whole family to enjoy. Delicious, reliable and affordable.
