Went to get takeout and had to wait for the oil to reach cooking temperature. Fish was okay but the fries were absolutely horrible. They were a dark brown colour rather than the normal golden colour and saturated with oil. This usually happens when the oil is not hot enough. Next trip will be Joey's Only as this isn't the first time that this has happened. They used to be good but not so much anymore.
Wow! Thought I would give this place a shot as we were hungry and Whitespot was full. Let’s just say this will be my one and only time to “the best fish and chips in town” what chips??!! The fries were under cooked the fish was over cooked very greasy no flavour what so ever and OVER priced for what you get. $21 for fish and chips that is half the size of a normal portion. kid size at best) Cafeteria food is better than this I am extremely embarrassed for you as a business. I was always wondering why it was never busy and I now know why. the coleslaw was the best thing on my plate and the server was the best thing on the floor. Shame on you !!
The food is good but kind of pricey, also the interior is a bit dated. But still a great place for lunch
Went for lunch Wednesday July 5,Chowder should be called celery soupFish n chips were greasy (like oil was not to temp), coleslaw was dry and tasteless.Would not recommend this place... have had way better in middle of Canada far from the ocean
