My family and I went to this restaurant on Christmas Day for dinner, paying £50 per person. The roast turkey was overcooked, the vegetables were undercooked, and the portion sizes were disappointing. The pigs in blankets were too salty and there was not enough gravy to go around. The desserts were also disappointing, except for the vanilla ice cream sundae. We left the restaurant feeling hungry and dissatisfied after only 1 hour and 20 minutes. However, the staff were friendly and resolved a mix-up with our orders quickly. Overall, I would not recommend having Christmas dinner here, but I might consider returning for cheap cocktails in the future.

Over the weekend, I visited the restaurant with some friends and was attended to by Charis. She was very knowledgeable and helpful when I mentioned my allergy, informing me which cocktails were safe for me to consume. Charis went through the list with me, ensuring I knew exactly what I could drink. She excels at her job.

I’ve grown up round this pub and always felt so connected to all of the staff. Heather is my favourite, always so excited to see me, knows my drink order and always looks out for me. A warm welcome to the best wee pub :

Popped in for some drinks lovely girl on the bar. Nice smile and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for her as we couldn’t decide what to order. Charis is an asset to the establishment. We will be back soon.
