Gills Vintage Tea Room

We had a delightful afternoon tea at this restaurant. I opted for the sweet option, which was more cake-based, while my friends chose the savoury option with quiche, pork pie, and more. Both options were beautifully presented and generous in portion size (we even asked for doggy bags because we couldn't finish everything). Our host, Dec, was extremely friendly and welcoming. During our visit, he even gave out homemade toffee apples for free!

This restaurant is incredible for an afternoon tea experience, with delicious food and very reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and the tea room is lovely for dining in. The delivery service for cakes is also amazing. Thank you!

The jacket was stunning, the salad was fresh, and the lemon cake was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be returning again.

After booking an afternoon tea at 1.30pm for my Mums 90th Birthday and leaving my name and contact details, the shutters were down when we arrived at 1.20pm, no note on the shutter to say why and no one contacted me to apologise. I called twice, still no one called me. A call to say they were shut and why, was all it would have taken. Thank goodness for Brigg Garden Centre being so welcoming at the last minute. I will never eat at Gills now, despite hearing good things.

Me and my grandaughter come here frequently as our little treat, the place is lovely , friendly and unique with its own personality ,as has the young girl who serves and greets (owner? She works exceptionally hard and is always smiling , the food is extremely fresh and tasty , service is quick and efficient with a smile 5 well deserved stars all the time
