The King's Arms - North Norfolk

Visited The King's Arms this afternoon as the restaurant we had intended to use for lunch was closed. Lovely, friendly welcome and the food was absolutely superb. Will definitely be back soon.

What can one say but what a beautiful carvery so full I might need an afternoon nap. Rest of the family enjoyed there carvery’s too. My wife had scampi and chips, the chips were over cooked but they halved the price of meal without any issues that’s the sign of good customer service. I would like to say thank you and the next time I am in the area with my family we will call in again.

What a disorganized experience. Everything from arrival to seating was fine, the carvery was decent, but the food was just average. The experience took a turn for the worse when we were abruptly asked to move our car because we were parked in the "wrong space" and needed to move "in case the kitchen received a delivery". This seemed unlikely during a busy Sunday food service. I moved the car to the road and returned to find my meal much colder than before, with no acknowledgment from the staff. To top it off, when requesting the bill, we were informed that we needed to pay at the till. This wouldn't normally be a problem, but the till was inconveniently placed in a high-traffic area between the kitchen, carvery station, bar, and restaurant. It was a hassle trying to pay as I was repeatedly told I was in the way by two staff members, one of whom was quite rude. There are definitely better-run restaurants in the area, so I would recommend avoiding the stress and chaos by dining elsewhere.

Outstanding food, friendly staff, well worth a visit. We spent 7 days on the norfolk broads as a family of eight. We enjoyed the food here so much we stayed berthed where we were for another night so we could eat here for breakfast and another evening meal. Good portions, very tasty food. Good value for money, definitely the best place we found in our 7 days.

We visit this restaurant every time we are in the area. We had dinner here last night and ordered a variety of items from the menu, as well as a couple of carveries. Everything was fantastic, especially the carvery which was possibly the best I have ever had. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, not overcooked and mushy like in most places. There was a huge selection of choices available as well. We will definitely be returning next year.
