Feedback gevenI was so disappointed with my food, I choose to eat at this restaurant to celebrate my 50 birthday on the day.. Firstly the sparkling wine I was served was the last glass of an open bottle which was flat- it was kindly replaced and the service was good. I ordered the seafood pasta- it wasn't a house made pasta and the prawns were over cooked with that horrible flavour they take on. I couldn't eat it. Again the service was excellent and I wasn't charged which I think was really good. Now for the good- my husband had the lamb shoulder - which he loved probably his most enjoyed meal of the Hunter the lamb was just falling off- he was delighted- I had menu envy. I just got unlucky!
Found the restaurant comfortable, nothing fancy but that's what we were looking for, just somewhere very casual for lunch. Batter fish was good but yes I admit the crinkle fries DO NOT put a happy on our faces - would rather have home fries please.Overall it's a nice little place.
Have been to this restaurant a few times, friendly staff. Have only tried their fish and chips but was disappointed when they served hake instead of cod or haddock. I find hake doesn't make a good fish and chips, also the rolls that came with the meal were stale.
Very friendly lady taking orders. My wife had a BLT which she said was very good. I had a hot hamburger sandwhich which was made with scrambled hamburger and onions which I found quite good. My grandaughter had a chicken burger which she also said was good. My big complaint is the fries. It seems to me that in PEI fresh fries should be the norm and frozen crinkle cut fries just don't cut it.
The restaurant does look beat up from the outside, but the kitchen is very clean and organized. The fish and chips had perfect crispy batter and it was not oily at all. EAT HERE is what im trying to say.
