The Pines - North Smithfield

My party went to the Pines Restaurant for Easter Sunday with a reservation for 14 to 16 people at 2:00PM. Despite many tables being set, we had to wait for our tables to be cleaned and set up. Our table was located in the center of the Banquet Room and when we were seated, we didn't have enough silverware, napkins, water glasses, etc. At the end of the table, dirty plates and food were left in a bin and no one made an effort to remove it until I flagged down a waitress after 15 minutes. We also had to wait for someone to take our order, and it took another 15 minutes before a part-time bartender finally helped us. The dinner plates were wet when they were placed on the table, and we had to use our napkins to wipe them. The chicken was undercooked, the dinner rolls were not cooked enough, and the cinnamon rolls were also undercooked. Overall, we were very disappointed with the quality of the food and the service, and do not plan on returning for a holiday meal. Some members of our group felt that management should be informed about our experience.

Overall, the quality of both the food and service was disappointing. I regret to say that I will not be returning to Pines Restaurant for a holiday meal in the future. While I was initially hesitant to mention our experience, other members of my group felt it was necessary to express our dissatisfaction.

Our table was located in the center of the Banquet Room and and when they seated us we did not have enough silverware for everyone, napkins, water glasses, etc. To top it off at the end of table all the dirty plates and food were left in a bin and no one made any effort to remove this bin. After minutes I finally got a waitress to remove it. Then we waited for someone to come to the table to take our order, etc. Another minutes went by and we had to ask for someone to take our order. I appeared that our table wasn't assigned to anyone and finally a part time bartender said he would take care of us. He did take the order and brought us silverware and napkins. When the dinner plates were placed on the table they were very wet and we used our napkins to wipe the dishes. It wasn't long after that we received our food. The chicken wasn't fully cooked, the dinner rolls weren't cooked long enough and then they brought us cinnamon rolls that were not cooked. I don't know what the problem was that day but we will not return on a Holiday. Very disappointed in the quality of the food and the service! I wasn't going to notify you of our dilemma but other members in our group thought that you should be notified

Excellent egg sandwich Whether you prefer scrambled or any other style, this sandwich is a winner if you enjoy runny eggs.

The bartender provided us with utensils and napkins, but they were damp and required us to use our own napkins to dry them. When our dishes arrived, we found that the chicken was undercooked, the entrees were not prepared correctly, and even the crumble dessert was not fully baked. In general, we were highly dissatisfied with both the food quality and service during our visit. While we initially hesitated to voice our concerns, other guests in our party felt it was necessary to alert the restaurant about our disappointing experience. We have no plans to return for any future holiday outings.
