She was not only attending to the customers inside, but also handling DoorDash orders. Despite the long wait, she kept apologizing to everyone in line including myself, a couple with kids behind me, and the customer in front of me. It was clear that she was overwhelmed due to lack of support from her coworkers. While she was working hard, there were several employees standing around chatting and laughing instead of helping out. I felt sorry for her as she had to repeatedly ask her coworkers to prepare fries for the customers before me. The group of employees at the fry station seemed to be more interested in talking and laughing than in attending to the customers waiting in line. After waiting for over 20 minutes with only one customer in front of me, I finally received my order. However, when I got home and opened the bag, I found a small, barely filled fry and a junior bacon burger with only one small piece of bacon. The food did not look appetizing at all, and I couldn't even bring myself to eat it. It was disappointing to see the lack of support for the hardworking girl at the register and the disregard for the customers in line. As someone who has worked at a Wendy's in Ashtabula, Ohio, I was shocked by the situation. While fun and conversation are important in the workplace, it should not come at the expense of customer service. It is essential to prioritize the job at hand, especially when there are customers waiting to be served.
Wendy's is a peaceful and inviting spot to enjoy a fresh and spicy chicken sandwich. The restaurant is clean and welcoming, making it a great choice for a sit-down meal. While the fries may not be as good as McDonald's, they are still tasty enough to satisfy your cravings. I would not hesitate to come back here again if I had the time.
The service at this restaurant has seriously declined in the last 6 months. I used to receive my food correctly and hot, but now it is cold and often not what I ordered. The frosty machine is always broken (even after purchasing a keychain and some booklets). This happens whether I go inside or use the drive-thru. The employees, who appear to be young adults, are playing around, throwing food at each other, and seem to be under the influence of drugs (the smell of which can be detected over the grease). I have even witnessed them smoking at the back of the building. I don't care what they do in their personal time, but please just make my food right.
This location used to be fairly good, but the past couple years or so it has gone downhill. There is always a very long wait when I have gone regardless of time and usually something wrong with order. The last time was the final straw, I was charged $25 for someone else's order that left, the lead female on shift came over to the register worker who was kind to me and scolded him for charging the wrong order and proceeded to tell him to send me off and it was all set. I decided to check my bank account right away and it was not all set. I waited and said this charge needs to be fixed whilst I heard the lead say why is she still here? She then only decided to reimburse my money because I was still there waiting for it. She was going to allow me to be charged for an order that wasn't even mine and knew about it. Please be aware when at this location because they do not even offer a receipt, unless you ask I would assume.
Ordered delivery from Wendy's on Eddie Dowling Highway on 4/4/2022. The burgers were dry and half hanging of the bun. The bacon on the sandwich was overcooked. The baked potato looked like it was sitting for a time before I luckily was the recipient. I ordered chocolate chip cookies that bordered on burnt and tasted funny. The only thing I ordered that was good was the chocolate frosty. I am not going to order again anytime soon.
