Rich's Cider Press - North Somerset

A group of neighbours from Sandford Station had a great lunch, Staff were so friendly and helpful. I had the carvery, which was fantastic and so fresh all the vegetables were delicious. All 8 of us enjoyed are food, and cider. We loved the shop...as well. We will all definitely be back again and would highly recommend a visit. Great value and tasty home cooked food.

After several happy visits to the restaurant, we booked a family table for 4 and came away disappointed at the meal we had 2 riches carvery and one small Carvery the third person had a burger. The carverys where poor by your usual standards roast...potatoes seemed they where frozen potatoes and when you tried to cut them they shot across the plate, meat although well cooked the slices where so thick and the knives so blunt just not able to eat it. Hopefully a one of experience

Great little resturant, just had the family down went for lunch at the Cider Press. Very impressed, good food and good value. The farm shop is a little expensive but great quality.

Visit this place for years so let's come down why I only rate it 3. eating was not the best carving I had. first, the plates are small for what is stacked on them. as with others...Karvery's they can't serve the veg etc., one dame flatters it on their teller for them who at the time they chose what they want, it looks like a baptism of maische maische. So, back to the table to put in. eating was warm, not hot. the flesh was very nice. the bratkartoffels were a great abandon, they were small and hard, and when you managed to cut through them, there was no real kartoffel in there. the filling was watery and tasted as if it had come out of a package. all in all not the best carving. I also felt that this was not the place where you could relax after the meal with a drink. we came around 3.30 and had gone around 4.20 a good positive comment was that the Christmas man saw the meat cut was a very happy guy. will we have been coming back? I don't think so.
