Lobster Pound Restaurant & Moore

This is a Great restaurant, very good food, excellent service , great location in North Sydney. We were there in October , we were totally taken back by the new location as we only saw old location pictures

A tiny unassuming restaurant in quiet North Sydney in an area you wouldn’t think it would be, and it was fantastic! Reservations are definitely required, as due to COVID they only have around or indoor tables. They take COVID precautions seriously, and good...on them for that! The staff are all extremely friendly and the chef spends just the right amount of time personally checking in on the tables to make sure everyone is enjoying their meals. The food quality is outstanding. Everything we had was delicious. The lobster wontons, the scallops and the sticky toffee pudding. Portion sizes are generous too, so you won’t leave hungry and you won’t leave feeling you didn’t get your money’s worth. It’s about a minute drive from Sydney so if you’re looking for something a little nicer, definitely give this little restaurant a shot. We ate at a lot of good restaurants during our trip and this was probably the best one. Highly recommend

The Lobster Pound and Moore is an absolute gem of a dining experience. Chef Richard delivers an inspired menu, really showcasing the local bounty of the sea. I had the best Halibut of my life cooked to perfection and paired with a curry that...made the dish sing. The wine list was solid, having a great mix of local and imported options for any budget. Moore of a really, (see what I did there had a major craving for f&c and Lobster Pound did not disappoint last night. Fish was fresh and sweet, perfectly cooked. Fries on point, dillish tartar sauce, all restaurants should make their own IMO.. lovely rough cut slaw, all delicious. Very friendly service, a great local restaurant. It’s a simple dish that I’ve eaten all over the place, but rarely are all the components so well combined. Ginger beef app was very good as well

Opened again and food quality has not changed. Some new menu items but we stick with our favourites. Wonderful service and food
