Heard about this place from all the food bloggers i follow attending the launch event. Looked awesome and is so close to work i had to check it out. It’s actually hard to find a sit down brekkie joint in North Sydney, most business people are in a rush and a popular brekkie in North Sydney consists of usually a coffee and toast. For a Thursday morning we were the first to arrive and only one other table was occupied during our meal. I hope this place will be able to stay open! I feel like North Sydney sitdown restaurants have a short life span. The decor and vibe is so funky, they have really put alot of effot and work into the layout and ambience of the restaurant. I was recommended the special of the pork belly hash, it was even presented to me as ‘the best dish on the menu’. It was a hearty meal and i would probably opt for something lighter next time but im glad i tried it.Will have to organise more brekkie meetings here!
Absolutely terrible experience. Ordered drinks and food, drinks arrived, waited minutes and no food. Staff did not come near the table even though Drinks were empty. Finally asked where our food was to find out the order was misplaced and were asked to order again. Left without eating. Suggest they put on more Staff and train them. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Grabbed a table at Hunter & Gatherer after missing several chances to dine there. No idea what I was waiting for as it was a great lunch. The concise menu with "Smalls" (snacks), "Hunted" (mains) and "Gathered" (sides) at $24 a pair, is a bit of fun and a different way to demonstrate the very popular share-plates approach to dining. To be honest, I could have stayed longer and tried everything on the menu, although my heart and hips would have given me hell later. It's a sexy selection including (now say this slowly for a sexy effect) "House treacle cured and smoked Goulburn river king trout, pepe saya creme fraiche & pickle" ($12) or "Parmesan and thyme organic polenta fries, goats curd, roast mushrooms, roquette and walnut" (and last but not least) "Autumn beets, orange and walnut salad, frisee and willemi honey dressing". It is a gorgeous dining experience with high ceilings, wide open spaces, exposed kitchen and breakout areas to casually catch up. Really happy I didn't pass up the chance to dine this time. foodiemookie.com
