My Japanese wife and I decided to try the sushi train at Sushi Boat in North Sydney. We ordered 10 plates for $3.50 each and a sashimi plate for $6.50. We also enjoyed miso soup and Coke Zero. I'm not a big sushi fan like my wife, but I found all the dishes to be Aussie-style and easy to eat. The fish on the plates was fresh and tasty. My favorite was the egg sushi and dumplings, although they were a bit scarce. We also tried the delicious fried shrimp with mayo. My wife mentioned that, despite the welcoming atmosphere, the staff primarily spoke Korean. The food was satisfying and most dishes were quickly devoured. While there may be better sushi trains out there, the meal, priced at $46.00, was a bit on the expensive side. However, it's a good option for a quick dinner during the work week.
I often come to Sushi Boat for lunch after work. The quality is good and the staff is friendly and efficient. While it may not be the best sushi in the city, it is good enough to keep me coming back.
The sushi is decent here, but very limited choices are more likely to be a Korean place. There is a train that is not bad either.
My Japanese wife and I tried the sushi train at Sushi Boat at North Sydney. We ate 10 plates for $3.50 each and one sashimi plate for $6.50. We drank Miso soup and Coke Zero. I am not an avid sushi eater, like my wife, but all of the meals were Aussie type and easy to eat. All of the fish on the plates was salmon. My favorites egg sushi and prawn dumplings were scarce, but I got some. Also nice, fried prawns with mayo. My wife said apart from the welcoming words that were shouted out, the staff spoke Korean. The food was satisfactory, warm or hot where appropriate. Most of the food was consumed quickly. There are better sushi trains around and for $46.00, it is a bit pricey, but good for a quick work lunch.
