Center stage golabaki, kraut and pierogis. ALL served hot and flavorful. Monday afternoon so service was very attentive and inviting. Parking easy. Ambiance is that of a tavern with booths and tables. Can't pass up a few Zywiec on tap. No need to expound on the faire, it was in my review, PERFECT. We will now make this a regular stop.
I wouldn't drive more than a few miles out of my way or make a special trip to eat here. Basically Bar style polish food. Potato pancakes were limp and had a distinct sour flavor from what I assume was sour kraut mixed in. Stuffed cabbage was covered in straight tomato sauce. Pierogi out of a box. Polish sausage was dried out and very salty. Kraut was very tart and straight out of a can.
Great Polish! I asked for my polish and frys well, and they were. My friends had walleye and perch and said it was excellent. Sides of Cole slaw and cuck salad were good, too. Our server, Jill was alone and a champ on a busy Friday. We had several drinks (3 wines, 2 beers $6 each) and the entire bill was $107.09. We'll be back!
This is the absolute best place to buy Polish and Italian sausage. We load up our freezer about every 6 months. The restaurant menu is phenomenal too! Make sure to try the Polish hamburger, the cheese curds and any of the soups offered.
Frank's is an awesome old school Polish bar and restaurant offering hot food items as well as a cold bar for smoked sausages etc. All the food is prepped with care following classic recipes and it shows, absolutely delicious. The woman working the bar was enjoyable to be around and helpful. Clearly a personality. Joint was clean and taken care of. If you just wanna smash some cabbage rolls, polish sausage, or pierogis I can't think of a better spot in the area. A must try.
