The next couple to arrive, a Caucasian pair, were asked the same question. Despite also lacking a reservation, they were seated immediately. I was puzzled as to why we were treated differently in what seemed to be the same situation. After catching the attention of one of the female staff members and explaining what had happened, the host returned and finally seated us. He didn’t offer any apology or explanation for the earlier incident; instead, he just picked up some floral decorations from another table and set them down in front of us, saying, "Here’s a flower for you." While the food was decent, the subpar service and the subtle discrimination we encountered upon arrival left us disappointed. Given this experience and the presence of other dining options in the area, I likely won’t be returning anytime soon.

Nice atmosphere but very busy so reservation is high recommended. Call for reservation. Super friendly and attentive staff. Love music on Friday and I believe Saturday evenings. Lots of choices for food, drinks, and desserts. Authentic food with good texture and taste. More restaurant style in terms of heavier and larger portion but I personally prefer more intimate and home style of Germany or European food where it's on the lighter side like The Tannenbaum in Westminster. Street parking around the area of this restaurant but can be very busy so do come 10-15 minutes earlier than your reservation. Lots of other restaurants and shops around and good area for a evening walk after.

The one and only German restaurant in North Van. Food is great and so is the service. They are always booked so you will need to plan ahead, though sometimes you may get lucky on the day.

Lovely, sweet nice little cozy place to feel the German spirit! We loved the food and the service. The food is little pricey but it's a place for special occasions.

I went to this restaurant last Saturday 20th May, 23. Their food is good especially sausage was very nice. Their service was friendly feel like VIP for their restaurant. The environment was feel like in Germany..
