Nick’s Fish

This restaurant always serves delicious fish and chips, with great service. The mixed kebab and chips is particularly good, but the salad that came with it was disappointing. However, the fish and chips, as well as all other dishes, are fantastic.

I recently dined at Bistro Ashby, located near the new primary school on Burton Road and run by Nick's son. The experience was marvelous! I went there for a Valentine's dinner and was highly impressed. The atmosphere and food quality could easily compete with a bistro in a major city. Highly recommended!

Visited Saturday 1st May, don't usually write reviews but in this case I thought it necessary. The chips were great but the fish was awful, had a large haddock but when got it home it smelt off and tasted off as well. Will not go back anytime soon as I felt sick the day after. For me in a fish and chip shop the fish should be excellent not poor.

We live around the corner to this place and we have visited three times now and I must say this place is the best. The food was so fresh the fish was to die for packed with flavour beautiful and crispy batter. The kids love it, reminds me of fish and chips I had in Scotland was beautiful. Best in town for fish and chips and I highly recommend.

The food from Nick’s is always superb. We have never had a bad meal from here. Fully recommend to everyone in the Ashby area.
