Since for fast meal and was very surprised how good it was. Ethiopian food made with fresh ingredients. Nice place with fast service.
We ordered takeout from Engocha. The Ethiopian food had a nice rustic flavor, but we found the portions to be on the smaller side. While the food was tasty, it wasn't the best example of Ethiopian cuisine available. We frequent this restaurant to buy Injera for our Ethiopian cooking at home. Unfortunately, you can only purchase Injera in packs of three, which often leads to wastage. Additionally, the packaging is wrapped in excessive plastic.
A friend and I went in for lunch and both had the 3 wot plates for £4.99 which you choose from a selection of about 6 dishes I had injera and my friend the rice. For me the portion was a bit small, so I'd recommend going for the 4 or 5 if you have a slightly bigger appetite. I got 4 rolls of injera which I thought was good. The food was very tasty and everything being gluten free made picking a lot easier. They have a nice drinks menu with loads of different hot drinks I had the golden milk and a soya hot chocolate which were both good. Engocha currently doesn't do desserts, but the lady said they plan to in the future and they currently also don't take card.
Just had an amazing dish at this place. It looked too yummy to wait and take a pic but will take one next time. Cause I’ll defo return as soon as I’m back in this neighbourhood.
