Northbeach Pavilion - NORTH WOLLONGONG

Location is stunning but the food is very much below expectations. Calamari was the worst! it was covered in some horrible chemical based seasoning similar to chicken salt but had paprika in it, my partner ate it because he was very hungry but for me one bite was enough because it was very unpleasant. My main was the vegetable stack which was also disappointing, the halloumi was cooked quite well but the sauce was not great the mushrooms were definitely not fresh, they looked like they were cooked days ago they forgot the chat potatoes. My partner had fish and chips which he thought tasted fine but the portion was very small. The service was also quite average. I definitely don’t recommend this restaurant.

We had a wonderful lunch Prawn Woodfire Pizza and a Ceasar Salad to share. Really enjoyable great service. The staff were friendly and engaging.

The location of this restaurant is breathtaking, right by the sea. I love that it offers both indoor and outdoor dining, dog friendly also which is a big plus, it also offers takeaway. My friend and I both had the risotto for lunch on Saturday, we were so impressed with the excellent service that we returned for the breakfast special today. The staff are all so very friendly and accomodating, very efficient and professional. The menu has great variety and is very well priced, considering you’re literally on the beach. Can’t wait to return to try many other meals, 11/10!!

Service was terrible.We waited for a long time to order.We ordered a bucket of prawns no side dish to wash our fingers we had to ask. No one asked if we wanted another drink.Very poor selection of deserts staff had little knowledge of what we could have It is a great venue but food so average and staff more interested in talking to each other We were charged for a bottle of wine we did not order

We had dinner here on a Friday night. We just walked in the staff were friendly. We ordered garlic bread to start it was a large fresh cob with delicious garlic butter poured over the top. Mains were Eggplant Ragout and Chicken Breast on Risotto both were excellent. Also washed it down with a Lychee cocktail carafe which was lovely and refreshing. Was an excellent dining experience and location is great.
