The octopus salad was quiet a small portion, but tasted pretty good. No issues with the smashed avo or the burrito bowl. But the po boys. So disappointing. Three small brioche rolls each with 2 prawns, sliced iceberg lettuce & a squirt of mayo = $20. They tasted good, but these were no po boys. Not by a long shot. If you are going to advertise po boys then can I suggest you do your homework on what traditional southern American po boys are, and then develop something comparable. Great location, very busy & the staff were pleasant & attentive. With so many options available in the Gong, probably won't be back any time soon.
Dropped in for beer in my travels around Wollongong. They had Salsa dancing on Thursday evening which was enjoyable to experience. Everybody having a good time. Would love to try Pepe's on a warm evening in the Spring or Summer months. Very friendly place.
Had a big group that required special attention and did not feel as though they wanted us there and we were an inconvenience. Disappointing.
Security here is disgraceful. Way too many drunks carrying on like idiots. Made the mistake of taking family(kids are 18) here. NEVER AGAIN!!!!! Druggo's carrying on like sexual predators, drunks still being served and no management in sight. AVOID THIS PLACE
We had Mother's Day lunch at Pepe's & it was an enjoyable experience. The waitresses were fantastic and took our orders efficiently and with no fuss. The food was good and reasonably priced. The setting & the view of the beach was pleasant, we hope to return again soon.
