One of my favourite North York sushi joints. The VIP room is only open on weekends so you better book quickly because tables are limited. It was the first restaurant my BF took me to when we started dating and we make it a tradition to go once every fall season. The quality of the sashimi cuts are exceptional! I always take my best friends here

A hidden gem Shoutout to the amazing chefs and server for the wonderful experience. We ordered the Aoyama Course for 3 people. Each dish came out swiftly after we finished a course. The server was very kind and explained the details of each dish. Everything was beautifully presented and had lovely touches such as gold flakes on the sashimi. I will definitely be coming back!*Tip: Ensure you make a reservation as there is limited seating and please note that their opening hours begin at 5pm.

Step into this unpretentious restaurant located in a typical strip plaza found throughout Scarborough, and you'll feel as though you've traveled back to a simpler time when sushi was fresh, exciting, and exotic. Here, you'll find no elaborate rolls topped with multiple sauces or fried bits, nor any seared fish or trendy presentations involving dry ice. Instead, there's one dedicated sushi chef, a handful of tables, and a straightforward menu. The sushi omakase for two is an excellent value, featuring nigiri made from fresh, fatty tuna, uni, eel, red snapper, and a homemade sweet tamago omelette, among other delights. This set also includes three appetizers; mine featured edamame, monk fish liver in a tangy tomato sauce, and a steamed egg chawanmushi with scallop. The nigiri is crafted with fresh fish and has a perfect rice-to-fish ratio, seasoned just right. Take a seat in the slightly dated interior and enjoy every bite of this wonderful sushi experience. The flavors are smooth and harmonious, much like the Kenny G tunes playing softly in the background, contributing to the ambiance. Reservations are recommended.

My fiancée and I visited Aoyama to celebrate a special occasion, and we had a fantastic meal. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the service was warm and attentive without being intrusive. We were glad we made the journey out of the city to experience this place. I usually have reservations about seafood like uni outside of Japan, but it was superb. I can't wait to go back!

The best unagi don in town! They even offer a double portion! I've been a regular since they first opened, and I used to enjoy the chefs' cooking when they were at Katsura before Aoyama opened. Their food is consistently excellent and authentic! The unagi don ranges from $28 to $33, and it has recently gone back down to $31. Business is challenging, so they really need our support! It tends to be quite slow during the week.
