Golden Light Buffet - North York

We come here often as it is easy with kids during those long days when there is no time to make dinner. The staff is friendly and they have more authentic chinese food than other popular buffets. Price is reasonable (tuesday night 2 for 1 price is well worth it). Very clean and very comfortable. We got a lot of friends and family hooked on it. Only criticism is the owner/manager tends to hover around tables and makes you feel like he is keeping track of what and how much people eat. He may realize that now because it used to be much worse. Overall, good food, atmosphere and decent price.

We came here as a family of ten people; two grandparents, four parents, four kids. The food was great - not as much choice as the Mandarin but there is enough selection and the quality is as good if not better. There is also a small selection of sushi rolls and maki. The restaurant is clean, bathrooms are also modern and well kept. And staff are welcoming and quick to remove plates and bring refills.Overall, a great place for Asian (most Chinese) buffet. And on Tuesdays, it's half-price! We'll be back. Highly recommend.

The attraction for Buffet on Tuesday's is the half price deal. Order a buffet and the next one is free. Order a coffee and the next one is free.. etc.The downside is that the place is crowded and parking lots are full. We arrived at 11:30 and almost all the food was gone. Even all the plates were gone. You have to wait for more food to come out and get past the lineups to get food. Also it took me almost 20 minutes to get a coffee and then no sugar for another 10 minutes.The food is ok and many varieties of Asian soups, vegetables and rice with lots of fruit and ice cream. The dessert is the lowest quality of the menu.My suggestion is be prepared for long waits and long line ups. Also the noisy atmosphere and crowded conditions.On a positive note the washrooms are clean and nice and you can park for free in the underground parking lot underneath the restaurant!

Un buffet très bon bon et à bon prix. Rare de trouver de la nourriture d'aussi bonne qualité dans un buffet ! Excellent !
