Feedback gevenTasty food and good service but we were disappointed to be allocated a table at the back of the restaurant, despite having booked well-ahead so we were sitting on our own in an area with no other customers and no buzz or atmosphere as in the main dining area.
The offering during the pandemic is poor.... One choice of steak, chips and watercress. No sauces available. No other sides as part of the offering. This is not the experience that this restaurant has built its reputation on.
Dan in the restaurant was hilarious. Food was okay and the value for money good. Dan, we know you’re still new but keep on rocking !
We had dinner here on our first night stay at the hotel as we arrived around 8pm. The restaurant was quiet, but comfortable. Our server, Dolly, was wonderful! She was full of life and seemed to really enjoy her job. My partner had a steak which he said tasted delicious and was cooked exactly how he asked for it to be. I had the flat iron chicken; this came with almonds on top, which wasn’t stated in the menu. This was okay for me but my partner was originally going to order this dish and he has a severe nut allergy. I think that maybe this should be stated on the menu. However, that was our only negative. The side order of mac&cheese with beef brisket was outstanding, would thoroughly recommend. Dolly, the server, was really helpful with finding information out from the kitchen for us. I am 6months pregnant so was unsure about whether some sauces had alcohol in, but she really went out of her way to accommodate us. It is a pricy menu, but we were expecting this so it wasn’t a surprise. Optional service charge (12.5% is included in the bill.
The food was good, plenty of chicken when I ordered Mangalore a Chicken, though ask for extra sauce! Just beware of the 12.5% service charge!
