Borjia - Northampton

I visited this restaurant on a Saturday night expecting it to be busy, but it was empty. The bar was dirty and sticky, the atmosphere was dark and loud making it difficult to communicate. There were only a few tables in the whole place, and it's probably a good thing that it was empty. We tried to go to the outdoor smoking area, but it was locked. The bouncer redirected us back inside to a room with extremely loud music. Overall, not a pleasant experience.

I absolutely adore this place. It may be easy to miss as it is not heavily advertised, but the exterior of the building is stunning, resembling a castle. The bouncers are welcoming and surprisingly, I did not have to show my ID for once. Inside, there is a spacious dance floor with cozy sofas in the corners. The music selection is perfect, with a mix of R&B, dance, pop, rap, and house. Most of the time they offer 2 for 1 cocktails, with a wide variety to choose from. The bartender, Ashton, is friendly and even let us try our hand at shaking our own cocktails. The interior decor is beautiful, and even though we stayed until closing time on a Friday night, it never got too crowded. We enjoyed having more space and never having to wait in line at the bar. Overall, a fantastic spot that is definitely worth a visit if you are out in Northampton for the night.

I had never visited this establishment before, and upon entering, I was overwhelmed by the excessive decor. The atmosphere seemed confused about its identity. We attended a fundraising quiz here and had a good time, but it's not the kind of place we would choose to visit again.

Borjia, pronounced differently by every person you meet but I'm sure all share the same opinion. This place brings a bit of class to the usual dire line up of bars/clubs in Northampton. Borjia is a breath of fresh air and the recent refurbishment is modern and classy. This place has great service with table service from the lovely bar girls and an impressive line up of greatly crafted cocktails. If you're looking for a classy night out then look no further. Intimate, sophisticated and well run.

I was with a group of friends on a Hen night. We had reserved a booth which was great. Everyone took advantage of the two for one cocktails before 11pm and thoroughly enjoyed them. A nice atmosphere and very quiet until after midnight which meant we could actually talk to each other too. Really enjoyed our evening here, thanks!
