Tried their Indian rojak recently. It was served hot, with sweet spicy sauce. If only there is vege eg kangkong than all fried item?? We are vegetarians afterall Nasi lemak for supper was gooood as well. Will be good if dishes can be labelled as vegan-friendly. Updated from previous review on 2022-03-31
Nice food. This time we tried the 重庆. The soup is more to the oily based. You can choose the spicy lvl小辣,中辣,大辣。 Other dishes r nice too
The Indian rojak at this restaurant consists of a standardized mix of 5 fried items. My favorite item was definitely the fried broccoli, which was a pleasant surprise as it's not typically found in Indian rojaks. The items were fried well and had a nice crunch to them. I also ordered Mala Xiang Guo and shared it with my brother. We both agreed that the one we had at Green on Earth tasted better. While this MLXG had the numbing sensation from the peppercorn, it lacked the aromatic and fragrant spices that we were hoping for. Overall, it was still decent, especially as a vegan option for late night cravings or suppers.
This restaurant offers a extensive menu with daily specials. There are plenty of fresh vegetable options for those who prefer less mock meat. The carrot cake was also really delicious!
Back at SHU vegetarian Jalan Kayu. Love its wide variety of both vegan and vegetarian options. Everytime we visit, they serve pretty fast after we ordered. I find their zhi char full of flavours and each dish having their own distinct flavours. We frequent this outlet as it is near where we live and their takeaway dishes are well portioned too!
