Portillo's Northlake

We were introduced to Portillo's in 2020. Our first time visiting Chicago. We make it a point to go every time we visit now. The Portillo's Dog (aka Chicago Dog) is a family favorite. They put all sorts of toppings like tomato, a pickle spear, sport peppers, and more on top of an all beef hot dog wrapped in a steamed poppy seed roll. It's amazing! The Maxwell Street Polish is another favorite. A smoked Polish kielbasa covered with grilled onions and mustard. DELICIOUS! Lastly, their homemade chocolate cake is decadent. Moist and full of rich chocolate flavor. Make sure you try a slice if you like chocolate cake.

Feel like the food has lost its signature portillos flavor over the last few years.

Bathrooms need a remodeling. I've seen nicer portillos bathrooms
