Cafe Nero - Northumberland

I had a wonderful and relaxing experience at Neros in Berwick. It is a calm and peaceful restaurant that I love visiting. Today, I took my three sons who were craving a sweet treat. The staff member who served us was very understanding of how busy I was with my children and was incredibly patient, polite, and helpful. We also enjoyed the small library in the restaurant, which kept my two youngest entertained.

The staff made our little pug Bella very welcome. It's great that Caffe Nero allows dogs. After watching rare seabirds and seals on the river Tweed we were able to escape the rain, enjoy yummy coffee, lunch and cake, and relax with Bella. Many thanks we'll back. Five woofs from Bella!

Pleasant, friendly staff, dog friendly, and a great selection of quality coffee. Also an excellent choice of both savoury and sweet snacks. Plenty of room, and pleasant, inobtrusive background music, either light classical or cool jazz. There's even a free library. One of our favourite watering holes in bonny Berwick. Highly recommended.

After a day of walking along the cliffs and footpaths in the Berwick area, we decided to stop by Cafe Nero for a coffee. The staff welcomed us warmly, we made our coffee order and settled into our seats. The coffee was delicious, the cafe was clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly.

I have visited this location multiple times while staying here. The coffee has consistently been weak, but what bothered me the most was the manager's controlling attitude. I witnessed her warning a solo customer about not taking a window seat in case the branch got busy and they needed to allocate seats. Is this policy displayed anywhere in the shop? Are we discriminating against people dining alone? This incident caused the customer to leave shortly after. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and did not meet the usual standards expected from a Caffe Nero.
