The restaurant has a beautiful and friendly owner who made us feel very welcome and even went out of their way to ensure that our picky son was well-fed. The food was delicious and the brownies were huge. The pub itself is clean, cozy, and inviting, making it definitely worth a visit.
I asked for coffee and to eat had meat and cake. memories came from good time flooded woman had homemade minenstrone suppe toffee cake and brownie good wedge big background music for my age group almost forgotten staff very friendly and helpful menu small but as they just said opened so got to see what will soon be sold
I had a wonderful Sunday dinner at this hidden gem of a restaurant. The lamb melted in my mouth and the vegetables were beautiful. The staff was very friendly and the chef did an amazing job. The atmosphere was warm and cozy. I will definitely be returning and would recommend it to everyone.
The restaurant is situated on Elsdon village green, surrounded by hills, creating the perfect Northumbrian pub atmosphere. It has all the traditional features you would expect, such as a beer garden on the green, real ale on tap, a cozy fire, and a fantastic Sunday lunch menu. The pub itself is very old, made of stone, giving it a charming and authentic feel. Overall, it's a brilliant dining option.
