The Brown Bear Pub Berwick Upon Tweed

If you enjoy the sound of uncontrolled dogs barking at each other in the bar, then this is the perfect place for you! However, my recent visit was not exactly relaxing as two dog owners allowed their pets to disrupt people who were trying to enjoy the quiz.

We stopped by on a quiet Monday evening and were impressed by the great variety of real ales and a nice selection of gins for other drinkers. This establishment feels like a traditional pub that is striving to be a community hub and avoid closure. While we didn't try the advertised food like chilli, we would still recommend this place.

I stopped by this pub on a Saturday for a few drinks. It's the liveliest spot in Berwick, so it attracts a mix of locals, from pensioners to teenagers. It's entertaining to people-watch, especially when you see the pensioners getting a bit too tipsy and flirting with the teenage girls.

Lovely atmosphere, service excellent. Very friendly..Cherie is an asset with her helpful, chatty and cheerful manner day and night... I good mix of people during the day.. who r all greeted with a Smile.. Karaoke very busy but fun... security checking IDs always a good sign...of control .
